About me

Hi, my name is Sebastian Lillge, I live in Erlangen, Germany and I love to paint miniatures – but I think you already guessed that.

If I remember correctly, I started to paint miniatures when I began to play tabletopgames like Warhammer 40k in 2005 or 2006. But in that time I was more interested in playing than painting and so looked my armies.

Nevertheless I always admired the Golden Demon winners shown in White Dwarf and I think it was in 2008 or 2009 when I stumbled over a little blog named Massive Voodoo and I wanted to paint like those guys too…

In 2010 the guys from MV were holding a class close to me – back in that time I had no car so long traveling long distances were nearly impossible – but unfortunately I had to do some family stuff and could not attend the beginner workshop.
I had to wait until 2013 when I moved to Nürnberg and got a car to finally visit a beginner class and it was just awesome. It really opened my eyes on painting miniatures and I switched from army painting to single miniatures and busts. I attended more Massive Voodoo classes in 2014, 2015 and a basing workshop in 2016. But I think more will follow in the future.

In 2016 I also started to participate in contests and won some awards:
2016 Herzog von Bayern Standard Painting Silver Medal
2016 Herzog von Bayern Fantasy Standard Painting Recommendation
2016 Scale Model Challenge Figures Fantasy Advanced Bronze Medal
2017 Herzog von Bayern Fantasy Standard Painting Recommendation

But it’s not my main goal to achieve prices, I just paint for the fun 🙂

My Color Crusade is just at the beginning and I hope to improve myself further and have lots of fun with colors in the future… 🙂
